Farnborough rightly holds a special place not only on the airshow circuit, but also in the hearts of many of the show attendees. It is surprising how many people you will meet throughout the show who can recall summer days past, packed into the public viewing areas, watching the latest aerospace and defence platforms taking to the Hampshire skies, long before attending the airshow in an official capacity.
