The Infantry Battle School (IBS), based in Brecon, Wales, is one of five major units that make up the School of Infantry, which is responsible for all infantry recruit and junior command training. The IBS product is a junior commander, trained and educated to assume an appointment at the next level of command in an infantry battalion at the commencement of its mission specific training (MST), leading to deployment on operations.
