Author's Response to Comments on 'Do Business Schools Have a Role in the Current Financial Crisis?'

The idea to write this brief commentary on the role of business schools in the current financial crisis came about during a session at the Decision Sciences Institute meeting last November. I am indebted to my fellow panel members and the conference participants for the enriching discussion of the topic at that meeting. After reading the comments of the reviewers of my article, I am encouraged that this commentary has elicited a profound discussion of the role of business schools. It is my hope that the DSJIE readers will share this article and the reviewers' comments with their colleagues in order to widen the dialogue on how to make business-school education relevant and responsive to the challenges we are facing.
