SPONTANEOUS LEVEL OF CHROMOSOME ABERRATIONS ESTABLISHED IN PERIPHERIC BLOOD LYMPHOCYTES OF INDIVIDUALS OF DIFFERENT AGES BY THE FISH METHOD

A cytogenetic investigation of two unexposed groups of individuals (mean age 23 and 53.5 years, respectively) using the FISH-WCP method is carried out to establish the spontaneous frequency of stable chromosome aberrations among inhabitants of Ukraine. Significant inter-individual oscillations of the spontaneous frequency of stable aberrations among individuals of the same age, a tendency towards exceedance of the secular norm for the mean-group cytogenetic indicators, and an increasing trend in the mean general frequency of translocations with age and in the general frequency of two-way and oneway transloctions (0.009 and 6.013 per cell per genome-equiv, respectively) are demonstrated.
