The author discusses the usefulness of social networking Web sites particularly Facebook and Twitter in raising awareness about botanical and horticultural libraries. She describes how she managed to communicate with garden writers and even former colleagues through the Web site. She talks about the creation of a Facebook group dedicated to Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden in California. She also recommends several Facebook links related to botany and horticulture.
