Clearer outlook for edge protection

Given the increasing attention paid to fall prevention and edge protection recently, it is not surprising that applications exist outside of the scope of the BSEN13374 Standard. As contractors request increasingly complex safety equipment, the providers' responses have become ever more varied, with no common connection between them. The height of edge protection is a case in point. Most contractors are content with the 950 mm legal minimum that all mesh panel systems can exceed. Some contractors go further and request full height, floor to soffit protection, while others want mid-height protection or other variations.The question is to what extent the 13374 rules should apply to those differing applications?
