Stronger EU demand helped exports of goods surge by 5.0%(y-o-y) in December-albeit from a very low base -as net trade continued to boost activity. On the domestic front, however, retail sales slowed to 1.8% (y-o-y) in December and the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 7.5% over the same period. Elsewhere, industrial production edged up by 0.1% (y-o-y) in December, following its first annual growth in November in more than a year. Our panel's forecasts for GDP growth and household consumption remain unchanged this month.
