In this paper, we study the problem of passivity analysis and feedback passification for discrete-time switched systems. Main objectives are to design a switching law and controllers to guarantee the passivity of closed-loop systems. The switching law is designed by introduced mode-dependent persistent dwell time (MPDT). This guarantees each subsystem is with its own PDT, which upgrades the degree of flexibility for constructing switching signal. Further, by using quasi-parameter-varying (QPV) storage functions, a class of QPV output feedback controllers matching different switching period of MPDT is constructed. More importantly, the controllers are allowed to be reduced order by transforming partial measurable state and output directly. This simplifies the overall complexity in the process of passification. Under the proposed switching and control strategies, a non-weighted switched time parameter-dependent passivity index of the closed-loop systems is satisfied, which further illustrates the relationship between switching behavior and passivity. Finally, an example is employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented results.
