I met Peter Sellers at his home in Whetstone north London on a hot sunny afternoon during the summer of 1957 The windows in the living room were wide open and the sound of children's excited laughter made me glance out to the large well laid-out garden, where four very young children were having fun cooling themselves by running in and out of the water sprinkler system. Peter Sellers noted my quizzical expression and explained that not all the children belonged to him. His house was called "St. Fred's" and I had gone there to check out a complaint regarding a 16mm projector which he had bought from the BTH Co.
