Electron Impact Ionization Cross Section for Excited State of Ne-like Ions in Detailed Configuration

摘要

The electron impact ionization cross sections for excited states of Ne-like Ar~8+ and Y~29+ ions are given by the detailed configuration calculation using a Distorted Wave Born Exchange (DWBE) approximation. The results show that it is important to use the detailed configuration for highly charged and excited ions.
