The question of which wrapping system is the right one for the particular products often arises. The investment of a little time to find the correct solution in advance will subsequently produce time and money savings during operation. This article is intended to provide a brief guide for the selection of the most suitable pallet wrapping method. The most common error in choice of wrapping method is that of concentrating on only two factors: packing material costs per pallet and the capital cost of the machine.These are, doubtless, important factors, but they should not be the only ones taken into consideration in selecting the wrapping method. Further important aspects which play a significant role in selection are: The nature of the products to be wrapped: The type of product to be wrapped and, in particular, the characteristics of the pallet and the palletized load (dimensions, weight, stacking and stability) are important considerations.
