National air cargo took delivery early this month of the second of three ex-air france 747-400BCFs it agreed to buy from nexgen aviation capital. Delivery of the third unit is scheduled for October. Earlier this year, National was awarded the tender for five ex-JAPAN airlines 747-400BCFs, but those freighters are now back on the market. National said that with the process becoming more complicated and taking longer than expected, it decided to terminate the JAL deal.
