Bio-Power (UK) - A Different Approach

It was during the fuel shortages of 2000 that John Nicholson, founder of Bio-power (UK), investigated alternative fuel options for running his own diesel-powered car. Since then he has developed a simpler way of producing biodiesel fuel that avoids the use of fossil-derived materials such as methanol. He feels that the transesterification method used to make biodiesel as Fatty Acid Methyl Ester is not environmentally friendly as it still exacerbates climate change, but helps to market waste from the petro-chemical industry.
