Liam McParland (You Write last month) suggests that quality contracts are the way forward to producing a quality-based service, claiming his views are not biased by political ideology and are based on his observations. My observations are diametrically opposed to his and there will always be a political slant somewhere along the line where public subsidy is involved in operating buses.
