Bruce Maund, a noted historian of the bus industry especially in the Wirral Peninsula where he was born and raised, died on 1 October aged 89. A prolific author of authoritative and highly readable books on the bus industry and public transport, his parallel industry career took him from Hants & Sussex to Ribble and then a succession of posts with United Transport in Africa.
