Q83 is returned to its prewar Green Line glory

The London Bus Museum has repainted side-engined AEC Q Type Q83 (CGJ 188) into the prewar Green Line coach livery which it and 26 others of the Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon-bodied 4Q4 class wore in 1937/38. Always in the Country Area, it was withdrawn in 1953, acquired for preservation in 1966, painted in a pale green Green Line livery when first restored in 1973, then wore green and white Country Area bus livery from around 1996 until 2002, when it went into the red Central Area bus livery worn by several others of its class.
