Founded: 1971, when taxi operator Leon Douglas purchased 12-seat Ford Transit FDJ 712J). Acquired Halls Coaches, Redhill 1976, with depot and four vehicles (two full-size coaches). First new coach, Ford R1114/Caetano Alpha 29 (XRE 491X), purchased 1982 and fleet expansion required second depot at Seighford. Sons Robert and Andrew Douglas joined business in 1981 and 1983, and are now directors. Local bus service work has gradually been abandoned. Moved to Tollgate Park 1998 and relocated 2012 to new £3million site on same road with head office, workshop, paint booth and MOT testing area. Happy Days (Woodseaves) acquired April 2012 and retained as separate unit and brand. Happy Days, now 95 years old, had acquired Greatrex (Staffordian) of Stafford and Fishers of Whitchurch.
