Online Transport Archive to portray all forms of transport in the Isle of Man between 1953 and 1979. The second, due next year, will focus on the buses and trams of Douglas Corporation, electric railways and aviation. This one devotes 24 pages to the buses of Isle of Man Road Services, their images sandwiched between rich selections of steam railways (and bus-like ex-County Donegal Railway diesels) and ships from an era when the island was still a popular destination for holidaymakers sailing from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
