Further to Andy Rigby's article on bus interiors last month, I find it interesting that Transport for London, which appears to be the centre of the universe in the eyes of those who believe the bus industry outside London should be re-regulated, comes up with such bland, uninspiring and unattractive interiors.While operators like Reading Buses and Transdev Blazefield are doing marvellous work with the likes of Ray Stenning of Best Impressions to create amazing, luxury spaces for their customers to travel in, TfL has donenothing to make bus travel seem like an attractive option.The operators like those two, through providing free WiFi, USB charging points, comfortable seats and generally desirable spaces to be in, have made bus travel seem attractive and have proved that they can drive up passenger numbers and revenue figures.
