We reported in the last GRC Bulletin that the 82 MWe Ngatamariki Power Station on the North Island of New Zealand had been completed. Ormat built the largest binary geothermal power plant ever for utility Mighty River Power. In December the Ngatamariki Geothermal Power Station took top honors at the World GeoPower Markets Awards 2013, held in Amsterdam, winning the international award for Best Power Project.
