MICRONEPHTHYS OCULIFERA (POLYCHAETA: NEPHYTIDAE), A REMARKABLE NEW SPECIES FROM HONG KONG, CHINA

摘要

A new species of Micronephthys is described from Hong Kong. It differs most notice- ably from all other species in the genus, and from most other nephtyids, in possessing well-developed prostomial eyes. A detailed description is given and comparisons made with related species. The characteristics of the genus and the presence of eyes in the Nephtyidae in general are discussed.
