Major projects boss quits Laing O'Rourke after three months

Laing O'Rourke's major projects boss Jonathan Goring is leaving the firm just three months after taking up the role, in a fresh blow to the troubled contractor. Goring will join Morgan Sindall's affordable housing division Lovell as managing director in June, replacing the retiring Stewart Davenport. Goring only joined Laing O'Rourke in January. He was previously managing director at Capita Symonds and a project director on four-time Olympic gold medallist Ben Ainslie's sailing base in Portsmouth.
