MPs oppose Foster airport

Foster & Partners' plans for an airport in the Thames Estuary have failed to win over MPs, with just 16% supporting the idea. An Ipsos Mori poll showed that 59% opposed the plans, with more than a third of these saying they "strongly oppose" them. The most popular option for increased airport capacity was a third runway at Heathrow, which gained almost 50% of the vote.
