The system (2) has an activating unit (4) activating emergency programs, and connected with a signal input of a computing unit (8). The activating unit selects a destination airport during operation of the computing unit. The computing unit initiates an automatic flight control system (12) of an aircraft to control the aircraft at the selected destination airport and to land the aircraft at the destination airport after selection of the destination airport. An UHF/VHF transmitter (16) sends an emergency signal during operation of the computing unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for implementing emergency programs after operation of activating units.
