Architects hail light laws reform

Architects and developers have welcomed plans to reform the 19th-century rights to light laws. The rules have delayed and complicated many projects and reform is long overdue, they said. The Law Commission this week launched a consultation on proposals such as the introduction of a statutory test to clarify when damages should be paid or construction stopped.
