Dominique Bollinger reveals two distinct creative personalities in two new portfolios, Garden and Sicily. "Yes, they represent two very different visions," agrees the Rome-based photographer. "With the Sicily photographs, I have a more abstract and essential vision, while the Garden work is about specific memories from my childhood, of walking in nature." In each group of images, Bollinger displays complementary aspects of the same artistic sensitivity to patterns and textures, and the way the photographic image serves as an evocation of deeply held personal feelings.
