Bob Delevante is nothing less than a natural-born storyteller. As a successful Nashville-based musician, recording artist, and songwriter, his music is rich in narrative imagery. And as a serious black and white photographer, his pictures, particularly his series on children at home and at play, present equally rich stories of the simple joys and pleasures of childhood. "Music and photography do the same thing for me as a storytelling vehicle, and often I don't know where one leaves off and the other starts up," says Delevante, who has toured with Steve Earle, Emmy Lou Harris, and John Prine, and recorded several albums on the Rounder and Capitol labels.
