"Some people travel to visit museums, or to make religious pilgrimages," says photographer llya Genin. "I travel to experience the diversity of other cultures, and to discover the different ways people live. In fact, the more I travel, the more I realize that photographs of people tell me more about their country than pictures of architectural edifices or scenery. What drives me to photograph is the desire to capture a different world, and to observe people in habitats which are often completely foreign to me."
