Bob Trancho

At the heart of Bob Trancho's photography is a highly developed and immediately acces sible graphic design sensibility. He initially deployed this skill as a combined art and politi cal science major at Stony Brook University, creating posters for all of the school's concerts. "I was into printmaking," he recalls. "I did a lot of silkscreen and etching. I loved a hard line, lin ear type of graphic arts. In photography, the first thing I think of when I look at some thing is composition."
