Chicago AWIS-Chicago and Baxter Learn Educational Outreach Best Practices with Project Exploration

On March 16,2012, AWIS-Chicago members, in partnership with Baxter Healthcare and their Women in Science and Engineering group (BAX WISE), participated in an exciting day-long workshop on educational outreach, generously funded by the Pearson Foundation. This event was conducted with Project Exploration, a nonprofit science education organization based in Chicago, IL that works to ensure communities traditionally overlooked by science, particularly minority youth and girls, have access to personalized experiences with science and scientists.
