GLOBAL AVERAGE TEMPERATURES 1850-2020 LASGOW’S hosting of the world’s dignitaries in November at COP26 was meant to have been an important stage in the global attempts to minimise the effects of climate change. It was the fifth meeting of the Conference of the Parties following the 2015 Paris Agreement (at COP21), but delayed by a year because of the pandemic.
