In a lecture he recently presented at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University, lacque Herzog spoke about the importance of creative collaborations and dialogue between his practice and various artists Upon establishing their practice he and Pierre de Meuron observed the post-modern direction that many of their contemporaries had assumed and decided that this was not a path upon which they could embark. Instead their inspiration was taken from a process of thinking that they found to be more aligned with artists such as Judd who were also their contemporaries albeit in an allied discipline.
