The Dracula Dilemma is a valuable and exceptional analysis of the Dracula predicament the Romanian state and its people had and continue to have to this day. The book draws on multiple disciplines to present the intricacies related to Dracula tourism during socialist and post-socialist Romania. The eight chapters take readers from the theoretical underpinnings of identity creation and popular culture, to a description of the literary and historical Dracula, followed by a discussion of the Dracula tourism initiatives in Romania from the 1960s on.
