Section Plans For Jsm 2009, Gives Last Call For Papers

Preparations are under way for JSM 2009, which will be held in Washington, DC, August 1-6. The Business and Economic Statistics Section plans to sponsor five invited sessions and a number of topic-contributed sessions, which, by now, have been mosdy finalized. Due to the high concentration of federal statistical agencies in the nations capital, the conference is anticipated to have high attendance, including many statisticians working in foreign statistical agencies. Thus, this looks to be an exciting and important conference.
