Henry George: Political Ideologue, Social Philosopher and Economic Theorist is the latest book in the series Studies in Economic Reform and Social Justice from the American Journal of Economics and Sociology. The volume is comprised of six original essays and will be of special interest to economists writing in the Georgist tradition and to historians of economics.rnPublished within the book's pages are essays from various Georgist scholars, each focusing on an aspect of Henry George's contribution. Michael Hudson concentrates on George's political critics while Charles R. McCann, Jr. captures the experience of apprehending George's social philosophy. Henry George's unique ideas and patterns of reasoning in regards to the distribution of wealth and income are presented by Jerome F. Heavey and Ross B. Emmett. The final two essays are from Fred E. Foldvary and Mason Gaffney, who each provide discourse on a variety of conceptual debates surrounding the pricing and valuation of land and its services.
