Many CSRs-especially the rookies-think that service is defined as how many times they state the customer's name in a transaction, if an order is ready on time, if their nametag is visible, and if the customer walks away without a complaint. All of these elements are important to good service, but I challenge owners and managers to think beyond that foundation. Expand your idea of exceptional service and what it could mean. If you're constantly working on that foundation, the building will never get built.
