The Mole is writing this month's column from a sparkly new office; the culmination of a long period of angst and worry for the business. It's said, probably on a Channel 4 property programme that there is nothing more stressful than moving house; moving office is not far behind. The process of moving office began with a budget process, signed off by the board that failed to take account of the iron law of property moves; that you always end up with a smaller space costing more money than was initially thought. By the time the CEO's office is kitted out and arguments about whether IT or facilities pay for the audio visual room have been refereed, there follows the inevitable tail-between-legs board meeting when the true costs are revealed and a ticking off from the non-execs is received.
