Death of Children:Aloofness,Alienation and Self-Alienation in Jude the obscure

摘要

The aim of this paper is to display Thomas Hardy's outlook on alienation in his Jude the obscure. In the deconstruction of the novel, the theme of alienation and self-alienation, together with the aloofness in society are brought to the fore, by which Thomas Hardy's viewpoints on alienation in his philosophy of life is derived.
