摘要

As a principal means of promoting tourism,the translation of tourism materials plays an important role in attracting over-sea visitors.The thesis is designed to study Chinese to English translation of scenic spot names from the perspective of Skopostheo-rie,focusing on how to create a translated text that is accessible to the target readers and that can achieve the expected translationpurpose.
