Heart failure is the main cause of rising mortality rate and the final phase of most of cardiovascular diseases. And at present all treatments are limited with incomplete curative effect. The latest sutdies show that microRNAs play an important role in the heart's physiological and pathological process,which can promote abnormal proliferation of the cardiomyocyte cell, and cause cardiomyocyte remodeling and myocardial hypertrophy, finally leading to heart failure. microRNA, which has the biological potential to negatively regulate gene expression,is a class of endogenous, non-coding small RNA.
