The practice on teaching reform of mechanical innovation is introduced in the paper, based on the integration of curriculum design and students' subject competition, combined with theoretical teaching, experimental teaching and aca-demic competition. Some innovative approaches in teaching are also illustrated, such as tutorial-system teaching, opening laboratory, students' club, patent application and so on to encourage the students to pay attention to practice, so as to strengthen their professional quality.
