两汉政府重视教化，隐士在其中扮演了独特角色。一方面政府有意识利用隐士来宣扬教化；另一方面隐士自觉或不自觉参与其中，方式包括因教化俗、道德感化等。隐士们大多幽居民间，他们或以身作则，或以善化恶、因德化民，对乡里民风的纯化起了积极作用。乡里民风的纯化，有利于基层组织的稳定，进而有利于整个国家的治理。两汉隐士的社会教化功能及隐士精神，对我国当下的道德建设具有一定借鉴意义。%The Han government attached importance to moral education and the hermits in Han dynasty played a unique role in it. On the one hand, the government used consciously hermits to promote moral education;on the other hand, the hermits took part in moral education consciously and unconsciously by their own conducts. Most of the her-mits lived in rural areas and they played a positive role in the purification of rural morality, which was beneficial to the stability of the basic-level organizations and thus the management of the whole country. The hermits’ moral education role in the Han Dynasty and the hermit spirit has positive enlightenment for the morality construction of contemporary era.
