The Application of Geographic Information System on Telecommunication Cable Management System

Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer system to manage the geographically distributed data. It combines the process of geographic information and attribute information. Telecommunication bureau has great requirements for GIS and corresponding software platforms due to the speciality of the telecommunication system. The design ideas, solutions and basic functions of the telecommunication GIS for the cable design and maintenance are discussed.
