弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫是英国20世纪意识流小说创作的代表作家之一，她摈弃了传统的现实主义创作方法，娴熟地运用间接内心独白、自由联想、象征手法、时间蒙太奇等意识流技巧来揭示人物复杂多变的内心世界，表达出对生活与现实的独特理解。其代表作《黛洛维夫人》就充分运用了意识流的技巧。%Virginia Woolf is a preemient representative of sream-of-consciousness novels in the 20th century in Britain. She rebels against traditional realism and has her unique understanding of life and reality. This paper,taking Mrs. Dalloway as an good example,tries to study how she expertly employs some of stream-of-consciousness techniques such as indirect interior monologue, free association,sombolism and time montage in her novel.
