摘要

The genus Microsporum was an important kind of the pathogenic dermatophytes. They could be di-vided into three types, geophilic, anthropophilic and zoophilic. It has strong propagation, susceptibility to in-fection, and keratinophilic features. This article summarized the taxonomic history, pathogenic mechanism and application value of the genus Microsporum.
