独立人格与文化自强--论张恨水的文化观

张恨水始终对西方文化在中国的传播保持警惕并不遗余力地进行批判，他看到更多的是西方文化在中国的负面影响，但他对西方文化优秀的一面逐渐重视并有意与中国传统文化作比。他的中国传统文化理念是不断变化的，他把拯救中华民族的希望寄托在仍保持中国优秀传统文化的下层士兵、市民和知识分子身上。在此基础上，他寄希望于传统文化的自我更新，主要表现在现代国民独立人格建设和民族文化自强两方面。%Zhang Henshui always maintained constant vigilance against spreading of Western culture in China and spared no efforts to criticize it. He found more of a negative impact of Western culture on China, but he gradually paid attention to the positive side and intentionally compared it with traditional Chinese culture. His idea of traditional Chinese culture is constantly changing, and he placed the hope to save the nation on low-level soldiers, citizens and intellectuals who upheld the fine traditional Chinese culture. On this basis, his hope of self-renewal of the traditional culture is mainly reflected in two ways, that is, construction of modern national character and national rejuvenation by cultural self-improvement.
