论左宗棠治理湘军哥老会

摘要

晚清时期，哥老会势力兴起，不仅聚众作乱，而且渗入军营之中，对统治秩序构成了严重威胁。左宗棠通过事先注重防范、平时注重访查、发现苗头果断处置、对叛乱的哥老会严厉镇压等措施，在一定程度上遏制了哥老会在军队的蔓延。但囿于时代和历史的局限性，哥老会滋生蔓延的经济和社会基础并未消除，左宗棠治理湘军哥老会的效果十分有限。%In the late Qing dynasty,with the rising force,the Gelao Society rioted and rebelled against the government,and its power had infiltrated into the Hunan Army,and posed a threat to the government.Zuo Zongtang blocked the spreading of the power from Gelao Society by precaution the possibilities in advance,usual investigation,and suppression of the rebellion harshly.Due to the era and historical limitations,the spreading economic and social foundation from Gelao Society was not eliminated and the effect of his gov-ernance was very limited.
