《熊》的生态批评解读

摘要

This article , from the perspective of eco -criticism , analyzes Faulkner's classic novel The Bear ,in which the old bear plays the role of the God of the forest . The bear and Sam are the guardians of the wilderness . On one hand , the essence of their spirit embodies the original relationship between the human and nature , which deeply affects the protagonist's growing up . On the other hand , their death reflects the plunder of the human on nature and reveals that capitalist industrial civilization is the evil source of nature's destruction . The protagonist's final choice is a reflection of Faulkner's pondering over the ecological crisis and human cruelty , and is also a feasibility study of establishing a new ecological ethics and coping with ecological crisis .%从生态批评的视角解读福克纳的经典小说《熊》,故事中的老熊是森林之神,它和山姆都是荒野的守护者,他们的荒野精神体现着人与自然的原始关系,这深深地影响着主人公艾萨克的成长,他们的死亡却又折射了人类对大自然的强取豪夺,同时也控诉了资本主义工业文明是造成自然毁灭的罪恶根源。主人公最后对荒野之路的选择是福克纳对生态危机和人类残暴行为的反思,更是对建立新的生态伦理秩序以及应对生态危机的可行性探索。
