Legalists'relationship between the king and Tao is that while Tao has demonstration, specifications and evaluation role, the king should abide by Tao, and that, therefore, the king who understands Tao is the wise king. From the relationship between king and Tao in Legalists' wisdom theory, we can see that Legalists advocate Great Wisdom. The wisdom thoughts are as follows: The king should keep void and peace and be free from any desires of love and hate, keep an objective and calm political mind. Thus, he can become a political person with great wisdom, and, by relying on shi(power), fa(law) and shu(tactics), leads the society into an ideal one conforming with Tao. In this ideal society, any interference of personal feelings in politics is objected. This shows that Legalists'wisdom theory is utopia, because it is impossible for the king with absolute power to understand Tao and abide by the law.%在法家那里,君道关系显示为:道对君有论证、规范和评判作用,君则应以道为依归,故而只有“体道”之君才是明君。
