As HIV and HCV share the same transmission routes, the prevalence of HIV/HCV coinfection is very high. The increasing use of highly active antiretroviral therapy has tremendously reduced the morbidity and mortality of HIV-related diseases in HIV-infected patients, but end-stage liver disease due to HCV infection has become an important cause of morbidity and mortali ty in HIV/HCV-coinfected patients. Therefore, it is very important to strengthen the diagnosis and treatment in patients with HIV/ HCV coinfection for reducing the mortality risk in HIV/AIDS patients. This review focuses on the advancement in the interaction of HIV and HCV, diagnosis and treatment in patients with HIV/HCV coinfection.%HIV和HCV的传播途径相同,二者合并感染相当常见.
